Programs
Information & Referral (I&R)
Are you looking for information about programs and services for persons with all disabilities? Make Disabled Resources Center, Inc. (DRC) your disability information center. DRC offers a free and ready source of information about resources for people with all disabilities, not only regarding the many programs and services at the Center, but also elsewhere in the community. In 1976, three young men with severe disabilities, all Long Beach residents, incorporated DRC with the goal of providing the keys to independence for people with disabilities, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or type of disability.
The Center began as a community informational resource, linking people with all disabilities to appropriate programs and services. We maintain that purpose as a vital organizational priority. If your request falls within the scope of our programs and services, we will refer you to the appropriate staff member. We also provide referral information to other community resources serving people with all disabilities.
If you need help locating an appropriate resource regarding your own disability, or that of someone else, just call our main number, (562) 427-1000, and speak with our front desk personnel. We’re here to help.
