• Information and workshops on self-advocacy and public entitlements: SSI, SSDI, Medi-Cal, and Medicare.
• Assistance in benefit application and appeals

The following is a brief description of the service:
- Information on benefit programs, eligibility requirements, and public entitlements.
- Benefit options counseling to help individuals understand their choices and make informed decisions.
- Self-advocacy guidance to help consumers understand their rights and navigate barriers to accessing or maintaining benefits.
- Self-advocacy training and education to build knowledge and skills for effective self-advocacy.
- Education on the Social Security application and appeals process.

Referrals to appropriate agencies or legal representatives when specialized assistance or legal representation is needed.
Workshops on “Benefits & Advocacy” are held every two to three months.
